Rhetoric Readiness

Rhetoric Stage

There is nothing worse than someone speaking who has nothing to say. The classically trained student has a foundation of knowledge learned in the Grammar level. Logic taught the student how to think through the validity of arguments and how to organize and to connect ideas. Rhetoric teaches the student to express, to invent their argument, arrange it for the audience, utilize the best style, and commit it to memory and deliver it to persuade.

When applied to the human mind, heart, and imagination classical Christian education can produce truth, beauty, and goodness in the life of the student. The mind is developed, disciplined, and nimble. Hearts are inspired and trained to discern good and evil.

Arma Dei Academy’s vigorous curriculum prepares students for College Preparatory High Schools and beyond; the majority of our students enroll and thrive in honors classes at Valor Christian High School.
