A Bunch of Misknits: Knitting 101

A Bunch of Misknits: Knitting 101 (6th-9th Grade Students)

When: Thursdays at 3:30-4:30pm, February 3 – February 24

Contact: Moya Hall

Cost: $10

Deadline: January 30

This club will focus on getting down the basics of knitting: learning terminology, how to find resources, and beginner’s techniques. We will work on cast on, bind off, knit, purl, seed and garter stitches, and use them to create a scarf! The Bunch of Misknits is looking for interested students (6th grade – 9th grade) who not only want to learn a new skill, but want to use it as a blessing for others. We hope to produce enthusiastic knitters who can work on their own projects and create pieces to donate to local organizations. In this way, we can serve people in need with warm scarves, hats, and mittens for the cold winter months. Join the missionary knitters…the Bunch of Misknits! Parents are welcome to join, but space is limited.
