At their December meeting, the Board of Directors unanimously voted to move forward with breaking ground for the Phase 1 expansion! Their vote authorizes the groundbreaking, site work, building shell, and the finishing of the main floor. Finishing of the lower level was not included.
Three questions you might have about the board’s decision:
Why won’t the lower level be finished?
In short, we are so thankful for the generosity of the many donors who have helped us get this far, yet there is still a journey before us in order to not only build the building, but also fully furnish classrooms, equip the new spaces with appropriate technology, and provide for other “soft costs” not included in the construction itself. Based on our current fundraising, the board, in its role as trustee for the academy, has committed to finishing the upstairs, deferring the cost of finishing the lower level to a later date depending on the outcome of the capital campaign at year-end.
Does finishing just the main level solve our issues with running out of space?
Yes! At least, it does for the 2018-19 school year. The main level provides enough classrooms to ensure we can return all sections to no more than 16 students. In addition, we anticipate returning all art classes to the art room, all music classes to the music room, and no longer renting any overflow space from Living Way Fellowship.
When will the new building be ready?
LORD willing, it will open for the first day of school in August of 2018. Please pray the project is completed safely, on time, and under budget.

Plan to attend the parent preview night at 6:30 P.M. on January 11th to learn more about our plans for next year.
Four families set out to pursue excellence and educate the next generation in academics and a biblical worldview. Arma Dei Academy began with nine students.
We broke ground at our new facility, celebrated, and commenced the school year with 25 students.
67 students filled our brand new facility bursting with excitement and hope. Seven stellar new staff members were hired.
Continuing to grow, the student body was now 103. Facility highlights included the building of a new turf field and playground expansion.
Advancement, improvement, and expansion in every area: 132 students, six new staff members, a second 4th grade class, and a second Kindergarten section. By God’s grace, an additional 6.55 acres was donated to the school.
Phase I of the Facilities Expansion begins. The school now has 165 students and an additional 1st grade section and 5th grade section.
Our Mission Continues
Our mission is to glorify God by providing an excellent classical Christian education founded upon a biblical worldview which equips students to live purposefully and intelligently in service to God and others. We will remain steadfast and immovable, continuing to pursue this mission with complete dependence upon the Lord.
The Lord has seen fit to grow Arma Dei Academy over the past several years and He’s not done yet!
