Mr. Stephen Taylor
Mr. Stephen TaylorHead of School

Mr. Stephen Taylor joined our community as Head of School on July 1, 2017. He and his wife, Emily, and two children, Ellena and Corin, are thrilled to call Highlands Ranch their home. Mr. Taylor loves the outdoors, from snowboarding to canoeing, and is a voracious reader. His favorite place to camp is in the Boundary Waters of northern Minnesota.

Mr. Taylor comes to us as an experienced leader and administrator with a passion for classical Christian education. For the past five years, he's been the Principal of the Schools of Logic & Rhetoric at Annapolis Christian Academy, an ACCS accredited PK-12 school in Corpus Christi, TX. During Mr. Taylor's tenure at ACA, he oversaw programmatic growth and improvement in a number of areas. Key accomplishments included revising the curriculum, introducing band and theater, leading the steering committee for ACCS re-accreditation, and helping design the master campus expansion plan. He also worked closely with teachers to re-focus the School of Logic curriculum, resulting in increased student learning, satisfaction, and retention.

In addition to his administrative roles, the past ten years have given him opportunity to teach English, history, and computer classes to grades 6 - 12. He has also loves leading clubs, retreats, and class trips. He earned his B.A. at Gordon College, majoring in English Language & Literature and Secondary Education. He graduated Summa Cum Laude, and was also recognized as an A.J. Gordon Scholar. The highlight of his undergrad years was studying Renaissance art history in Orvieto, Italy for a semester. Mr. Taylor also holds an M.Ed. in Technology in Education from Lesley University and teacher certification from the Association of Classical & Christian Schools.

Ms. Ruth Pederson

Ms. Ruth Pederson was born and raised in Northern Minnesota, got married, and lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 12 years before coming back to Minnesota to be with family. All three of her children were born in Alaska. They are now located in Minnesota, California, and here in Colorado. She moved to Colorado to be closer to her four grandchildren.

She worked for the Minnesota school district for 31 years. She tried retirement but missed the daily interactions with staff and students, which is why she is once again sitting in a receptionist chair.

She is excited to see where God is leading Arma Dei in the years to come and also for the chance to meet all of the Arma Dei families. She loves walking into this building and feeling the presence of God's favor.

Mr. Caceres pledges every day to the Almighty that he will be a firm but fair representative of Arma Dei to each student that he interacts with whether it is on the athletic field, class room or common area. He has been entrusted with the care of your children, no matter what grade nor for how long a period of time and allows the Spirit of The Lord guide his actions. “Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:1

He and his wife Cindy have two beautiful blessings that attend Arma Dei.

Mrs. Katheryn Pranno, MS

Mrs. Katheryn Pranno brings a wide variety education and experience to her position at Arma Dei Academy. Her undergraduate work was in Music Education and her Masters in Curriculum Development. Teaching led to other opportunities in technical training and web development. Craving to use her talents in education and technology in a ministry setting, she was hired by Cherry Hills Community Church as Director of Technology and Web Services. She was on staff there for many years before moving to Rocky Mountain Community Church, a church she and her husband, Anthony, planted in 2007. She served as the Children's Ministry Director & Communications Director at RMCC.

Anthony and Katheryn have three wonderful children that attend Arma Dei and she is passionate about excellent, Christ-centered, classical education.

Megan Billinger, BS

Mrs. Megan Billinger received a Bachelors in Computer Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Denver. After working for Lockheed Martin Information Systems and Solutions as a project manager for Department of Defense implementations, she became a stay-at-home mom and later home schooled her children. Eager to contribute to the work being done at Arma Dei Academy, she has joined the staff to assist in all things technical.

Megan and her husband, Erik, have three children that attend Arma Dei. She enjoys playing golf, crossfitting, and spending time with her family.
