On Thursday, October 3rd the 4th Grade class visited two historic churches in downtown Denver. The Metropolis of Denver, a Greek Orthodox center that has stunning iconography, typical of this denomination. While there, students received a tour from one of the Fathers and discussed as a class the similarities and differences between Eastern and Western Christianity. Once their tour of the Metropolis was over, students went to Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Built in the early 1900’s, this stunning Catholic Cathedral, built in the gothic style has over 75 stained glass windows and two bell spires reaching 210 feet.
