Lego® WeDo Robotics teams

Congrats to the Arma Dei Lego® WeDo Robotics teams for their amazing effort, great attitude, and joy at the 2019 Lego® Design Challenge in Colorado Springs. Twenty-seven teams competed and two of our teams placed in the top six.

Medieval Festival

Parents and grandparents enjoyed the Medieval Festival on Wednesday. The fourth-grade students took their audience on a trip back to the Middle Ages to hear the music played, see the art sculpted and listen to literature enjoyed by the citizens of that era. Eighth Grade Students Visit Washington D.C.

The eighth-grade students visited Washington D.C. to learn about our country and to see some of the greatest monuments, museums, and historical sites in the world. This trip also provided students with a unique, interactive learning experience, as well as opportunities for personal growth, maturity, and independence.

STEM Challenge

First-grade STEM students pair up with Fifth-grade learning buddies to test invisible ink used by the Sons of Liberty during the Revolutionary War. First-grade students have been studying the American Revolutionary War and their third quarter STEM challenge was designed to integrate this period in history into their STEM training. The class was divided into teams of Red Coats and Patriots and spent three weeks developing and testing various invisible ink recipes. Speech Meet Grade Winners

Arma Dei Academy participates in the Rocky Mountain Classical Christian Schools Speech Meet each year in order to provide a platform for students to develop rhetoric skills from an early age. This opportunity makes use of classical educational pedagogy where students are challenged to develop the skills of memorization, public speaking, and social grace. We hold classroom speech meets for first through eighth grades. Students may choose from a variety of categories – Bible memory, poetry, dramatic interpretation, or patriotic recitation.
