In the 5th grade, students study European explorers and early America through the Civil War. Students culminated their historical studies with research papers that focused on individual student’s interests. Research and writing skills were honed as they learned to take notes and organize information categorically. To top it off, students created amazing trifold boards that summarized their findings and oral presentations were given to educate and celebrate what was learned.
