John Voehl, a nationally recognized Lincoln historian and presenter, made a guest appearance in our first and second-grade classrooms. In celebration of the 16th president’s 209th birthday, Mr. Voehl regaled students with tales and trivia from Lincoln’s childhood.
He dressed in a stovepipe hat, black bowtie, black double-breasted jacket and trousers and acted out scenes and legends from Lincoln’s early years for an audience of spellbound students.
