In the past few days, we’ve heard more and more about the staggering amount of rain in South Texas. Preliminary results indicate some parts of Texas have now surpassed 50″ of rain in the past week, and Hurricane Harvey holds the dubious distinction of being the biggest rainfall event in the continental 48 states. The resulting devastation is widespread across the “Coastal Bend” region of south Texas, from Corpus Christi to Houston. Please join me in prayer this week for the schools that have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey, including my own former school, Annapolis Christian Academy.

First and foremost, join me in praying for:

  • The ongoing rescue effort, as rescue teams search for those who are stranded in their houses.
  • Safety for all who have been evacuated or displaced due to flooding and other hazards.
  • Wisdom for leaders in the church to know how to begin responding to this crisis. Pray for the leaders at the local, state, and national level as they assess the needs and begin coordinating their efforts.
  • Mr. Stephen Taylor
    Head of School
