Dwell

Over the past year, we have been forming our students' biblical worldview and transforming them into the image of Christ by memorizing scripture together that corresponds to the monthly virtues and character traits that are expanded upon during chapel. This program is now called; Dwell. God's word tells us in Colossians 3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God". We pray this scripture memorization program will dwell deeply into the hearts, minds and souls of our students…

April 10, Chapel: Worshiping Together Virtually!

It has been a long month. We have had shining moments and moments we would rather forget. There has been sorrow and joy. There has been chaos and peace. There has been anxiety and rest. The one word that seems to be missing from our world's vocabulary is hope. Hope, however, is the one thing we do have. It is constant and unchanging in the life of the believer. More than ever, I believe it is important that we cultivate hope within our families and community. As we look forward to Resurrection Sunday, consider ways that your family can proclaim hope…

Ceilidh Dancing

Ceilidh Dancing The cold temperature and snow prevented the 8th grade students from heading outside for PE class on Wednesday. As a result, they spent PE learning a Scottish (Ceilidh) dance. Dr. D walked the students through the steps of a very traditional Scottish dance, one that was featured during Dr. and Mrs. Denlinger’s wedding in Scotland in 2008! Watch the video here.

But we never fully succeed in such efforts. And, in our more lucid moments, we perhaps even realize that suffering, in God’s providence, serves a redemptive purpose, conforming us to the image of Christ (Romans 3:3-5), who himself endured ultimate suffering with joy because he knew his suffering accomplished our salvation (Heb. 12:2). Equipping ourselves and our children with a biblical perspective on suffering is critical to navigating it in a way that glorifies…
