The first grade chronological study of history includes an overview of early American history and an introduction to Colorado state history. For their Fall field trip, they experienced a taste of days long past at the Highlands Ranch Mansion for Highlands Ranch Days. They talked with a Native American dancer, took pony rides, toured the mansion, and much more.
The first grade classes also panned for gold at the Four Mile Park and had pockets full of treasures. Their day of fun ended with a delicious gelato dessert from the Johnson family.
