As students of medieval history, 1st – 4th grade Collaborative students copied portions of Ephesians as monastic scribes, by quill and candlelight in a silent scriptorium, which was a room in medieval European monasteries devoted to the copying and illuminating of manuscripts. The word “scriptorium” literally means, “a place for writing,” and in that sense, all of Arma Dei’s classrooms are modern scriptoriums! The lesson continued into art class with Mrs. Van Steyn where students created illuminated lettering that typified medieval manuscripts.

Arma Dei Academy’s Homeschool Collaborative program is enrolling 1st – 4th grade students. Interested families are encouraged to visit the Homeschool Collaborative webpage at https://armadeiacademy.com/academics/homeschool-collaborative/.
