The kindergartners’ performance should serve to remind us all that Arma Dei Academy exists not only to train the minds of students, but also their hearts and wills. Education in our modern world too often is reduced to the task of transmitting bare knowledge or equipping students to become life-long producers, in order ultimately to make them life-long consumers. Arma Dei, by way of contrast, aims to cultivate both understanding and virtue, to shape students into responsible individuals who will live intelligently and purposefully, loving God and loving others in fulfillment of God’s purpose for us as creatures made in his image.
