Our new 9th-Grade Students enjoyed a “lock-in” in the school last Friday night. Immediately after school they traveled to Castle Rock to participate in some team-building exercises and to test their nerves on the Edge’s Adventure Tower. They returned to the school for smores on the patio, a time of reflection and planning, and some evening games before getting some (not much, but some) sleep in designated classrooms. In the morning, they teamed up with Denver-based charity A Little Help to complete some yard work and odd jobs for elderly individuals in the local area. One of the elderly ladies our students served left a message later that day with A Little Help expressing her gratitude. She let the organization know that Arma Dei’s students “did such a wonderful job,” were “a great bunch of kids,” and were “just super.”
