We proudly display this beautiful piece of art and gift from the 2018 Eighth Grade Graduates, created by Jake Weidemann. Mr. Weidmann, artist and master penman, highlights the imagery drawn from the Arma Dei Academy’s mission statement.
- The sword and shield represented in the Arma Dei logo is the armor of God as we take up the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6: 16-17).
- The quill on the bottom left symbolizes purpose and intelligence; the ways in which we desire to live. Above this, you’ll see Philippians 4:4-8, the eighth grade class scripture.
- The washbasin on the bottom right represents our life in service to God and others as Christ demonstrated in washing the feet of his disciples.
- The open bible with the globe on its horizon, symbolizing the biblical worldview upon which Arma Dei’s education is founded.
- Finally, the mission statement is draped in a border of vine work. Vine work has been used for centuries as the symbol of ongoing friendship or relationship. This represents the everlasting familial tie we have to one another in Christ as his children.
Thank you to Mr. Weidmann for continuing to adorn our halls with beauty, goodness, and truth.
